Our magnificent international artists, pianist Laura Mikkola, soprano Marjukka Tepponen and baritone Kevin Greenlaw perform the most wonderful pieces of German lied tradition. The program includes music by famous composer couples of the romantic and late romantic era, Clara and Robert Schumann as well as Alma and Gustav Mahler. We will hear parts from the Robert Schumann’s Liederkreis, piano work Carnavalin Op. 9 and some rarely heard lieds by Clara Schumann, as well as Lieder eines fahrende Gesellen by Gustav Mahler and Fünf Lieder by Alma Mahler.
